We believe and teach that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe and teach that there is only one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19)
We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, co-equal, co-existent and co-eternal with the Father and the Son. Simultaneous with regeneration, the Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into the body of Christ. (Matthew 28:19; John 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
We believe and teach that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man united in one Person forever. He died on the cross, shedding His blood as atonement for our sins; He was buried and rose again bodily; He ascended to the Father according to the Scriptures. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Hebrews 4:15)
We believe and teach the pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth literally, personally, bodily and visibly. At the rapture of the Church, the dead in Christ and living believers will be caught up to meet Him in the air. At the end of the seven year tribulation, Christ will return with His saints to establish His earthly Millennial Kingdom. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6)
We believe and teach that man is the direct creation of God, body, soul and spirit, made in the image of God. The first man, Adam, sinned and brought the fall of mankind with resulting physical and spiritual death for all. We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. (Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:12; Genesis 1:26-27)
We believe and teach that all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It involves redemption, regeneration, justification, sanctification and glorification. (John 1:12; 3:3; Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)
We believe and teach that salvation is wholly of the Lord, apart from the works of man; that every true believer is kept by the power of God through faith unto eternal salvation; that the Holy Spirit permanently indwells, seals and secures every true believer for all eternity. (John 10:28; 14:16-17, 26; 1 Corinthians 2:9-14; Ephesians 1:13; 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:5; Jude 24-25)
We believe and teach that the New Testament Church is a local body of baptized believers with Christ as its head and the Holy Spirit as its guide. (Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:6-8; 6:3; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:3-6, 22-23)
We believe and teach that the local church was given two ordinances: baptism and the Lord's Supper. All who have received Christ as Savior and Lord should be baptized by immersion. All who have received Christ as Savior and Lord should also observe the Lord's Supper as a memorial of His death, burial and resurrection until He comes. Both baptism and the Lord's Supper are symbolic pictures of spiritual realities. (Romans 6:3-6; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 26:26-30; 28:19-20)

4CBC Has a Simple Mission
The mission of Four Corners Baptist Church is four simple words.
"Moving People Toward Christ"
Simple enough for everyone to remember, yet deep enough to fully encompass everything that we do as a church: Our plans, our actions, our projects, our meetings, our events - all that we do, say, and teach has the purpose of Moving People Toward Christ.
Our Start
In the spring of 2000 First Baptist Church of Kissimmee started a new church plant in the Four Corners area. Rick Ergle was called to be the Planting Pastor. The first location was a pizza restaurant, followed by two different social halls at local camp grounds, and an elementary school. The Mission continued to grow and in February of 2002, Mission Four Corners constituted and became Four Corners Baptist Church. Soon after, Paul Vander Kaay was called to serve as Senior Pastor of the new church. In February 2004, the first services were held in the recently purchased and refurbished facility at 125 Cottonwood Drive in Davenport.
Our Mission
But the church is not a building; the church is a group of individuals with a common purpose and a unified mission. The heart of 4CBC is clear and stated in a simple 4 word mission statement: “Moving People Toward Christ”.
Our Strategies
Even as a small mission church in its infant stages, this focus was evident, sponsoring mission trips to Montana and Mexico. In fact there have been numerous mission trips through the years that continue to today.
In addition, 4CBC is passionate about realizing their mission in their local community. This strategy has involved many different forms through the years:
God Focused... Passionate... Purposeful... Pastor Tony has served in the area of discipleship for over 24 years. He is married to his life-long friend (Trish) who he met when he was 13 years old. They have two awesome daughters, Eleanore and Heather, and their families. Tony is very passionate about preparing God's people for the works of service; that people would grow personally, and share the Good News of God's love with others. Tony is a "hands-on" teacher that believes in leading by example. Our culture needs to "see" God does make a difference in our daily life! Tony is a "techy" of sorts, and loves to hike and enjoy God's creation.
Kindergarten through fifth grade

We are so excited about worshiping and learning about God here at 4CBC
During Sunday School we offer a time to do crafts and read a story about a Christian character quality that your kids can start practicing right away and apply during the week.
Children’s Worship is a time for elementary students to engage in an interactive time of worship and Bible adventure designed just for them.
Our Neighborhood:
Summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) — Every summer, 4CBC hosts an exciting, week-long VBS. There is music, crafts, games, and lots and lots of fun! Look for online registration in the late Spring.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service — every Christmas Eve, we host a beautiful candlelight service so families in the community can celebrate the real “reason for the season.”
Our County:
Ridge Baptist Association — 4CBC supports financially and is an active member of this association of churches that work together to reach Polk County for Christ.
Our State:
Florida Baptist Convention — 4CBC supports financially and is an active member of this state organization of churches that work together in many different areas of mission work in Florida.
Our Nation:
Southern Baptist Convention — 4CBC supports financially and is an active member of this organization of churches that have a common mission. There are over 40,000 churches with nearly 16 million members. The Mission Statement of the SBC is consistent with Jesus' directive mentioned above: As a convention of churches, our missional vision is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person in the world and to make disciples of all the nations."
Our World:
International Mission Board — 4CBC supports foreign missions through the International Mission Board. The IMB is part of the Southern Baptist Convention and currently has 4484 missionaries on foreign soil and over 3400 student volunteers. In 2012 there were over 266,000 baptisms and a total foreign church membership of 2.5 million.
Operation Christmas Child — Partnering with the Samaritan's Purse Organization, during the fall we collect shoeboxes filled with toys and other items that are then distributed to children all over the world. They are then followed-up with the Gospel.
Cups Of Cold Water — We partner with Mike Williams in the Dominican Republic in this ministry that serves children and families, Teams from 4CBC have visited the Dominican Republic to serve with this ministry, and more mission trips are currently planned. Regular monthly funds are sent to help support this ministry.
Preschool & Infants
At 4CBC, we believe that a child’s spiritual journey should begin at birth.
Our desire is to partner with parents to build a solid spiritual foundation in the lives of their infants and preschoolers (birth through Pre-K). This is done in the safe, clean, and fun environment and led by trained workers with completed background checks.
If you are needed at any time during the service, you will be sent a text on your cellphone.
First-time guests can register their children at the Kid Central Welcome Center.
Through Bible study, fellowship, and prayer we desire to equip adult believers in Christ to navigate the challenges of these times in which we live.
There are many church activities at 4CBC for everyone to get involved in and grow spiritually.
Bible Studies:
We believe in equipping the Saints for the work of ministry… to glorify God… That we would know our purpose and live God’s will through our life. (Eph 4:11-13)
Fellowship:
We desire to fellowship with purpose. That our love for “one-another” would be clearly seen (John 13:35)
Prayer:
We believe prayer is essential in all that we do and take seriously praying for one-another as we navigate the world we live in today (1 Thes. 5:17)
