My Father's Business

¿No sabíais que en los negocios que son de mi Padre me conviene estar?

Mi pastor comenzó una nueva serie de estudios dirigidos hacia experimentando Dios. Estaba leyendo esta mañana el Evangelio según Juan el Apóstol y mientras leía, Dios a través de sus Palabras me habló de esto y va mucho con lo que el pastor Tony está trayendo para este Miércoles "Experiencing GOD”.

En Juan 5:15-21. Encontramos al Señor debatiendo con los líderes religiosos judíos. Porque ellos estaban tras Jesús para matarlo, por haber sanado a un hombre enfermo, en el día de reposo (Sabbath). Este hombre dice que estuvo enfermo por 38 años. Nuestro Señor le dijo al hombre simplemente "Levántate, toma tu camilla y anda." v.12 ¡El Creador mismo mandó que se levantara y caminara, wow!

Así que los judíos le preguntan a Jesús por qué lo ha hecho en el día del reposo. La Escritura dice que nuestro Señor les contesta; "Mi Padre hasta ahora obra, y yo obro." V.17 Entonces versículo 19 Jesús respondió y les dijo, “En verdad les digo que el Hijo no puede hacer nada por su cuenta, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que hace el Padre, eso también hace el Hijo de igual manera". En otra palabra lo que Jesús estaba haciendo, lo que había observado al Padre hacer, porque dónde Jesús veía al Padre obrando Jesús se unía a Él. Pero el siguiente versículo es significativo "Pues el Padre ama al Hijo, y Le muestra todo lo que El mismo hace...". V.20a.

Ahora vamos a tomar esto personalmente, si Dios va a conformarnos a la imagen de su Hijo y ha colocado a su Hijo en nosotros, escuchar esto, el Padre quiere que sepamos dónde está Él está obrando y cuando yo y ustedes sepamos esto lo que tenemos que hacer es unirnos a Él. Escucha esto, Dios está en su obra alrededor de todo. La verdad básica es que la voluntad de Dios no es tuya, ni mía, ni nuestra voluntad es para Dios. Así que ahora la pregunta que debemos estar pidiendo a sí mismo, porque esto es lo que estoy pidiendo de yo, “¿Qué estás haciendo Dios?” o tal vez algunos de nosotros le preguntamos a Dios, “Qué es lo que quieres que haga por ti Señor?”

Sabes lo que Dios probablemente nos va a decir, ¡Nada! pero sabes lo que realmente lo que Dios nos diría y nos va a decir; “Quiero hacer algo a través de ti" ¡Wow! Es tan importante que constantemente miremos a Dios, escuchemos a Dios y importantísimo mirar para ver lo que sus directivas están haciendo y unirnos a Él en su obra. Amen

Do you not know that I must be about My Father's business?

Earlier this year, Pastor Tony started a new sermon series focused on “Experiencing God.” Recently, I was reading the gospel according to John the Apostle, and as I was reading, God spoke to me through His Word. What I learned parallels with the messages Pastor Tony has shared about experiencing God.

In John chapter 5 we find the Lord debating with the Jewish religious leaders. They were after Jesus to kill Him for healing a sick man on the day of rest (Sabbath). This man had been ill for 38 years. Our Lord told the man, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk” (John 5:8b, ESV). The Creator Himself commanded this man to rise and walk - wow!

But the Jewish leaders ask Jesus why he has done on the day of rest. The Scripture shares that our Lord answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working” (John 5:17b, ESV). And Jesus continued, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise” (John 5:19a, ESV). Jesus watched to see where the Father was working and joined Him.

The next verse is significant, “For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing” (John 5:20a, ESV). Now let’s take this personally: If God is going to conform us to the image of His Son and Has placed His Son in us, then - listen to this - the Father wants us to know where He’s working. And when you and I know where he is working, we need to join Him.

God is at work all around us. God’s will is not yours or mine or even our will for God. So now the question we must ask ourselves is “What are you doing, God?” Or maybe some of us would said to God, “What is that you want me to do for you?”  

You might think that God’s answer would be, “Nothing.” But what He really says is, “I want to do something through you.” Wow! It is so important that we constantly look to God, listen to Him, and watch to see what His directives are going to be so we can join Him in His work.
